75 Hectares of rolling green country in the heart of Durbanville in the Cape is the home to Bon Mella's 500 strong herd. Our cows are fed on a high quality diet daily, ensuring a continuous, superior milk taste.

Our milk is pasteurised and homogenised to ensure an absolute premium quality product. We pride ourselves on a natural product. All of our dairy products are produced from milk obtained from our own cows. We do not make use of any growth or milk stimulating hormones and our cows are not treated with RBST.

Our cows are tested for Brucellosis and Tuberculosis as prescribed by law and are therefore certified BM and TB free! To ensure our high health standards, bacteriological tests are carried out regularly by the Department of Health, the Agricultural Research Council and our own laboratory.

Our herd produces an average of 38 litres per cow per day, with 3 milking sessions taking place per day. Our sophisticated, fully computerised equipment ensures a smooth production flow, enables us to meet the demands of our growing client base.

We are the proud suppliers of cheese, cream, milk and assorted low fat yoghurts to the retail industry, with Fruit & Veg City stores being our largest client.
